My Client, a market leading specialist UK based Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Principal Flood Risk Consultant to join their team based in Edinburgh.Candidates are required to have an MSc and BSc in a relevant discipline including Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Hydrology or GIS and have experience completing Flood Risk Assessments, Water Framework Directive Assessments, Water QualityAssessments and Scour Assessments.Candidates are required to be confident individuals to manage projects, mentor and check/amend technical designs.It is beneficial for applicants to have experience using Causeway Flow and/or Microdrainage for drainage designs.As a Principal Flood Risk Consultant you will have the opportunity to join an established team based in Edinburgh.You will be expected to complete varied residential, industrial, highways, railway, substation, holiday parks, wetland and re-wilding projects for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities, National Highways and Housing Developers.You will be required to check technical work, mentor team members and complete the following;-Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications.-Surface Water Management Plans.-Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications.-Drainage Design using Microdrainage.-Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.-Scour Assessments.-Water Quality Assessments.-Water Framework Directive Assessments.-Project Management and Client meetings to discuss project development and to develop new business opportunities.-Check technical work and mentor team members.-Hydraulic Modelling using flood modeller and Tuflow.You will be expected to work from the office 2-3 days per week.This role offers a competitive salary, substantial benefits package, training and career progression.If this role is of interest to you or if you are searching for other roles relating to Drainage Engineering/Flood Risk Assessment please send a detailed CV to Jordanna Morris on or and email your CV to .
