Job Description

Pre-Sales Consultant / Pre Sales / Consultancy / FinTech / Payments / SEPA / SWIFT / ACH / Clearing / Financial Services / Banking / Credit Cards / PermanentLocation - Bristol based company - Fully remote (UK Applicants only)Salary - £70 - £90KExcellent BenefitsPermanentI am working with a company that is a leading Fintech company in Latin America and the Asia Pacific, they are in the process of setting up in the UK and have identified Bristol as their technical hub. They are looking to hire a Pre-Sales Consultant with Payments/Clearing Experience as their first Technical UK hire, they will be also setting up a sales office in central London. This is a truly world class company that will gown immensely and this will be there first UK Technical hire so a vital hire.You will work with CIO-1 level technologists, product owners and operations people to understand their needs and, assess gaps if any between their needs and platform capabilities, Work with internal product architects to understand how to best fulfil those needs, answer formal RFPs, informal RFIs and other enquiries promptly and professionally, Assess suitability of other partners in the ecosystem to fulfil client needs (when combined with the my clients platform)You must be comfortable with banking and more specifically the payments and credit card domains.It is vital that as a leader you bring robust knowledge of the financial services industry including exposure to areas such as data protection, high availability, and the regulatory landscape.Pre-Sales Consultant Specification:

  • Identify client needs and assess platform gaps
  • Complete RFPs and RFIs by working with internal architects and later based on their own knowledge of the system
  • Conduct effective demos (demonstrations of platform capabilities) and add and
  • improve the quality of the demo tool - play the role of the product owner for the demo tool
  • Create a list of potential improvement opportunities for the platform - own and manage a detailed list of customer feedback
  • Work with the company’s CRM tool and record detailed interaction notes with every
  • customer
  • Notable skill for establishing rapport and credibility with product owners and technical
  • architects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
  • Project management skills
  • The ability to self-motivate and set goals
  • The ability to think strategically
  • The ability to speak Portuguese or Spanish may be an asset
  • Deep knowledge of banking, credit cards clearing and payments
  • Basic knowledge of payment regulations including SEPA, ACH, Clearing, SWIFT
  • Basic knowledge of data privacy regulations
  • Strong technical knowledge of cloud (at the level of Cloud Professional Architect Certification)
  • Strong architecture knowledge of modern cloud-based development frameworks including microservices, APIs, CI-CD frameworks, data streaming, this would suit someone coming from an Engineering background in the above domains and looking to move to a pre-sale’s role
