Job Description

Pre-Sales Engineer ACM Resourcing is looking for an experienced IT professional to take on a new role as a Pre Sales Engineer. The role will be based in Edinburgh with travel around the UK. Working hours will be between 09:00 am - 5.30 pm Monday to Friday, starting time mayvary on occasion, UK travel and working away including overnight stays will be required.The successful candidate will get to work with a mixture of clients and gain experience working with the latest technologies. They will join the sales team to provide expertise, guidance, designs, and end-to-end solutions for clients.The ideal applicant will have experience of macOS and Windows exposure from either a support background or pre-sales. You will also need a sound understanding of licensing models from major IT vendors (for example Microsoft, and Adobe). It would be advantageousto have Telecoms, managed print services, Apple MDM and Microsoft Intune, and Autopilot exposure. You must be customer-focused, dedicated, and logical with an interest in new technology. You will have an eye for detail and commercial awareness.Key Skills:

  • Support sales team in identifying new sales opportunities and business.
  • Organise and conduct technical sales visits, audits, and discoveries.
  • Produce and prepare demonstrations, training, and presentations to help clients discover and understand products/services.
  • Liaising with new and existing clients.
  • Preparing tenders, proposals, and quotations.
  • Providing pre-sales technical support.
  • Preparing and providing solution statement of work, support documentation, and contract agreements.
  • Preparing and providing solution handover documentation for the Service Integration team to implement.
  • Writing reports and sales literature.
  • Supporting other members of the sales team by training them in the uses of products/services.
  • Attending trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings.
  • Regularly coordinate with other department heads in order to coordinate and resolve potential and current issues in a timely manner.
  • Update, maintain, support, and develop CRM system with the sales team.
  • Provide technical content and support to the Social Media marketing team.
  • Utilise and develop management and technical systems as required.
  • Ensure that proper administration and financial systems and procedures are followed.
Job Specific:
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Proven knowledge of systems and demonstrable experience in working with presentations, proposals, and spreadsheets.
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to adapt to different situations and under pressure.
