Job Description

This is an opportunity for an experienced Power Electronics Engineer who is looking for role in which they can further develop their Power Electronics skills with the potential to move into more senior positions in the not so distant future.The Power Electronics Engineer Company:The company are a leading energy company who are also striving to shift their focus onto renewable energy sources. They are an excellent company to work for with multiple sites within the UK and they offer a competitive yearly bonus package. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic staff are working at home where possible and there will be more flexibility to continue this in future, however employees will be required to be working on site when necessary for hardware purposes.The Power Electronics Engineer Role:Working as part of the companies R&D team you will be responsible for new concepts, testing of power electronic systems, initial design specification, production implementation and post implementation support.Essential Power Electronics Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
  • Power Factor Correction (PFC) experience
  • Minimum of 3 Years design experience of high-power inverters, rectifiers and AC-DC converters (the more experience the better)
  • PCB schematic Design experience
  • Broad electronic hardware (analogue and digital) design skills with Embedded Systems and Microcontrollers
  • EMC testing experience and knowledge of European EMC safety standards
  • The Power Electronics Engineer:Interviews for the position will be taking place as soon as next week (30/11/20) they will consist of an initial stage Zoom call interview, a technical assessment and then a final stage interview on site.
