Policy AdministratorWest-End of Edinburgh City Centre based | hybrid working available once on-boardedFull Time | 35 hours per week with some flex on start/finish times | Monday to Friday Temp role for 3 to 4 monthsPay rate up to £15.00 per hour depending on skills & relevant experienceSearch Consultancy are currently working exclusively with this Edinburgh-based public sector client to recruit an experienced Policy Administrator who will be responsible for providing extensive project support & administration services to the Policy team,as well as some additional support across other teams.Duties involved in this role will include:* Acting as first point of contact for both internal & external enquiries to the team by telephone & email, showing professionalism at all times* Dealing with any basic enquiries personally & taking detailed information to refer on to a senior member of the team should it be required* Preparing correspondence & documentation to be distributed, maintaining paperwork & files for all comms* Maintaining accurate records of advice agencies engaged with as part of the Policy team, ensuring all changes of information are documented* Processing travel & expense claims for committee members & other stakeholders when required* Providing project information, updates & statistics - presenting to Senior Management when required* Converting project & policy meeting notes into action points & ensuring follow ups* Ensuring that all electronic & paper filing is completed promptly and to a high standard* Ensuring all funding & grants records are held, kept up to date & maintained with the highest level of confidentiality & compliance* Ensuring document retention policy is followed, carrying out file reviews & file destruction when appropriate* Various other ad hoc policy & administration duties as directed/requiredIn order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:* Extensive previous experience within a similar Administration role with exposure to Policy/Data Protection work - the Administration experience is essential, the Policy/DP experience would be very much preferred* Solid IT Skills including the full MS Office suite - with a particular focus on Excel* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Excellent organisation & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise & complete a busy workload effectively* A working knowledge of the Data Protection Act & GDPRIf this is the role for you, apply now!Please note that only applicants who have the required skills and experience detailed above will be considered for this role.Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or ageRequired skills
