NHS Lothian University Hospitals DivisionDepartment of PharmacyRoyal Infirmary of EdinburghPharmacy Support Worker (Band 2)15 hours/week (0.4 wte)Thursday and Friday, 08:30 – 16:30Job-shareSalary £18,786 - £20,812 (pro rata)We are looking for a friendly, approachable, efficient and team-orientated Pharmacy Support Worker to join the Radiopharmacy and Aseptic Services teams at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of highly specialised teams of support workers, technicians and pharmacists that have established a positive team culture to ensure you have an enjoyable experience at work and supporting each other to reach our full potential.The NHS Lothian Radiopharmacy manufacture and supply sterile radioactive medicines to departments in NHS Lothian, NHS Fife, NHS Borders, University of Edinburgh and other non-NHS hospitals.Aseptic Services supply adult, child and neonatal patients at the Royal Infirmary and Royal Hospital for Children and Young People. Duties include package and despatch of radioactive medicines, assisting in tray preparation processes for aseptic dispensing, participation in environmental monitoring, aseptic suite cleaning and disinfection programmes, stock management, administration and general housekeeping tasks.Previous experience is advantageous, although not essential, as training will be provided.
