Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Payroll Supervisor to join our Accounting & Finance team in Edinburgh. This integral role will oversee the timely and accurate processing of our companys payroll and manage 1 member of staff.Client DetailsOur client is a well-established not-for-profit organisation, employing over 500 people in various roles across the UK. Their commitment to providing high-quality services to their community is reflected in their dedicated and professional team.Description

  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll for over 500 employees
  • Ensuring accurate record-keeping of employee data
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies swiftly and efficiently
  • Generating reports for internal and external use
  • Maintaining compliance with payroll procedures and regulations
  • Assisting with year-end processes such as P60s and P11Ds
  • Liaising with HMRC when necessary
  • Providing excellent customer service to staff regarding payroll queries
ProfileA successful Payroll Officer should have:
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field
  • Proficiency in payroll software, Brightpay and Sage would be an advantage
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation
  • Experience in handling sensitive information confidentially
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various departments
