Job Description

Change Accountancy are currently working with our city centre client to recruit a payroll associate to their team. Initially on an inteirm basis for 3 - 6 months, the successful candidate will be responsible for taking a lead role with a complex payroll with in and outsourced elements as well as providing payroll support and advise to the business. Applicants must have either bureau or experience working on complex multi-payrolls with both UK and International exposure. Core duties of the role cover;- Responsible for managing external payroll providers and ensuring the accurate and prompt receipt of data- Engaging with stakeholders to reconcile and review data inputs - Processing of payroll on a monthly basis with accurate recording of amendments and adjustments- Prompt rectification of errors and discrepancies as highlighted- Reviewing and applying internal controls and following of company checklists- Review and processing of pensioner payroll- Enduring correct deductions applied to staff payroll as required- Responding to internal payroll queries from the business- Posting of payroll journals to the general ledger- Ad hoc duties and project involvement as required Applicants for this role will be able to draw from a wealth of payroll experience, ideally working with 3rd party providers or managing international or multiple payrolls. Attention to detail is key as well as working with excel to filter and review data as required. In return the successful applicant will get the chance to work with a leading employer in Edinburgh and potentially transition in to a permanent post. £130 - £175 per day / Inscope of IR35
