Job Description

Meraki Talent are delighted to be engaged on the role of Payroll Business Partner for a sector leader. The role is based in Edinburgh and is paying a starting salary of £38,000 - £45,000 per annum with additional benefits (see below).The OrganisationThe organisation have sites throughout the UK and have managed the challenges of Covid-19 incredibly well over the last 12 months. They place tremendous value on their great people and are never shy to invest to ensure staff have the optimum working conditions to perform.The RoleThe role of Payroll Business Partner will sit in the Human Resources function of the business, and report into the Group Payroll Manager with a dotted line to the Head of HR. The successful individual will have experience of processing end-to-end payroll within a large business and/or organisation. They will be well versed in handling and reporting on employee benefits e.g. P11Ds etc. They will have excellent IT proficiency including MS Excel; as well as being able to communicate and build relationships effectively with key stakeholders.On OfferThe role of Payroll Business Partner is a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) position offering a salary of £38,000 - £45,000 including an excellent benefits package including FLEXIBLE WORKING and 35 days holidays per year.You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:

  • Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager
  • Processing of end-to-end payroll for entire organisation (3 payrolls)
  • Managing employee pension and salary exchange scheme(s) (auto-enrolment etc.)
  • Manage and report on a range of employee benefits
  • Ensuring adherence with internal and external regulations including taxation returns & liaising with HMRC
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures & controls
  • Periodic and adhoc reporting
  • Reviewing and development of systems & automation processes
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers & third-party providers
  • Adhoc duties
  • To be considered for this opportunity you must:
  • Have experience of processing end-to-end monthly payroll(s) within large businesses/organisations
  • Have experience of managing and reporting on a range of employee benefits (as well as company pension scheme)
  • Be CIPP qualified (desirable)
  • Have experience of operating payroll/business software(s) e.g. iTrent (desirable)
  • Have excellent IT and Excel proficiency
  • Have strong communication skills and an ability to build key stakeholder relationships
