Job Description

Oracle Fusion Support OfficerPertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Edinburgh to recruit for a Oracle Fusion Support Officer in the Public Sector on a temporary basis until December 2022.Day rate: £125-£140 per day (Inside IR35) via umbrellaThis role is currently remote with the possibility to go back to office based working once restrictions lift.The Oracle Fusion Support Officer is a role with a wide-ranging system brief, with service requests coming from staff right across the organisation that will cover every functional aspect of the cloud based solution; Finance, HR, Payroll, and Procurement.These requests will be channelled through a support desk and it will be the duty of these roles to support this in a timely and courteous manner in order to smooth the user experience or minimise user disruption by managing incidents, requests, changes andproblems effectively.Alongside this, with the implementation of Oracle Fusion, we have moved to a solution that is constantly being improved, and you will be expected to play your part in making the most of these improvements by assisting in error spotting, testing and documentingimprovements.Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting Fusion end-users. Resolving, where possible, tier 1 requests received to the ServiceDesk at point of call and manage the lifecycle of support calls logged by managing incidents, requests, changes and problems
  • To communicate concisely and clearly complex instructions to a wide range of users
  • Support in the testing of the quarterly upgrades; documenting issues and reporting these effectively to ensure an effective transition to each new iteration of the software
  • Work closely with the Fusion Specialists to understand strategy and business needs, ensuring service desk tasks are prioritised and regular operational tasks are completed
  • Identifying, during daily tasks, areas where the ServiceDesk support provision, procedures and documentation can be created or improved to enhance quality of service or efficiency and play a role in their implementation
  • Assisting in the creation/development of new support methods and practices to develop the role. You will be responsible for checking and running scheduled processes
Essential CriteriaA desire to help peopleExperience of one or more of Finance, HR, Payroll or ProcurementExperience of using a functional system in one or more of the four functional areas listed aboveExperience in a customer support or staff assistance roleExcellent problem-solving abilityGood customer service and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate effective verbally and in writingDesirable CriteriaExperience of working on a service deskExperience of working with Oracle Fusion or Oracle E-Business SuiteCandidates will require a Standard Scottish Disclosure for this position.
