Job Description

Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Edinburgh to recruit for an Orcale Fusion Support Officer in the Public Sector on a temporary basis for 6 Months.Day Rate - £125-£140 (outside IR35)As part of the Fusion Support team, the Fusion Support Officer will assist in the delivery of a first-class support service whilst assisting and supporting a rolling programme of system upgrades and continuous improvement. Due to the current circumstances, this role will be home working.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for supporting Fusion end-users. Resolving, where possible, tier 1 requests received to the Servicedesk at point of call and manage the lifecycle of support calls logged by managing incidents, requests, changes and problems.
  • To communicate concisely and clearly complex instructions to a wide range of users.
  • Support in the testing of the quarterly upgrades; documenting issues and reporting these effectively to ensure an effective transition to each new iteration of the software.
  • Work closely with the Fusion Specialists to understand strategy and business needs, ensuring service desk tasks are prioritised and regular operational tasks are completed.
  • Identifying, during daily tasks, areas where the Servicedesk support provision, procedures and documentation can be created or improved to enhance quality of service or efficiency and play a role in their implementation.
  • Assisting in the creation/development of new support methods and practices to develop the role.
  • You will be responsible for checking and running scheduled processes.

  • A desire to help people
  • Experience of one or more of Finance, HR, Payroll or Procurement
  • Experience of using a functional system in one or more of the four functional areas listed above
  • Experience in a customer support or staff assistance role
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effective verbally and in writing
