Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation based in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit an Oracle DBA for an initial 6-month contract on a rate of £400/day (outside of IR35).Responsibilities: ·Work closely with other members of DSU to support a number of legacy applications across the organisation·Provide BAU support for an Oracle v9 database including backups, maintenance plans & health checks·Configure Oracle Dataguard on the primary server to improve resilience of the related application ·Provide support for any database related queries / data corrections that may be arise·Support the decommissioning and rationalisation of the organisations Oracle server estate ·Provide BAU support for several MS SQL server databases including backups, maintenance plans & health checks·Review and advise on improved monitoring of the relevant databasesRequirements:·Experienced database administrator·Experience of Oracle 9/10 databases·Experience of Oracle Dataguard·Experience of MS SQL server databaseDesirable Skills:·Public Sector experience.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
