Job Description

Our client is looking for a Marketing OfficerClient DetailsA leading clientDescription

  • Marketing Campaigns - Under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager, write briefs, develop plans and deliver multi-channel digital, BTL and email campaigns to hit agreed KPIs
  • Collaboration - Work closely with academic and professional service colleagues across our global campuses and in our key markets, to coordinate plans and activities that will reach and engage our target audience
  • CRM Engagement: Work collaboratively with our CRM team to help create activities that will keep our database engaged and excited about driving conversion at each stage of the prospect journey
  • Communications - Liaise with Communications to ensure news and content that can resonate amongst postgraduate prospects and international academics is utilised/repurposed and promoted through appropriate channels.
  • Content & Social Media: Ensure each piece of content has a content strategy taking into account the audience, SEO and determining the most appropriate format and channels for the content.
  • Website: Assist in improving and reviewing websites, particularly updating copy, images and videos on relevant Heriot-Watt website pages
  • Reporting & Analysis - Undertake and share regular progress reporting and performance tracking, particularly website and social media, with emphasis on ways to improve campaigns and activities.
  • Stakeholder Management - Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with academic and professional service colleagues including our global in-market recruitment teams and research team. Develop stakeholder management techniques for obtaininginformation in a timely manner
  • Agency Briefing - Brief and manage external agency relationships for campaigns e.g. media agencies, design/advertising agencies, video production.
  • Teamwork - Support and contribute to the wider Marketing team where required, e.g. student recruitment open days, global campaigns etc.
ProfileEssential
  1. Proven experience in a marketing or communications role with a global focus/remit
  2. Managing and delivering campaigns and projects by working with a variety of senior stakeholders.
  3. Strong digital media skills, including experience with developing paid and organic social media campaigns and using email marketing tools (Salesforce Pardot)
  4. Experience of copy-writing for print and digital; excellent writing and editing skills including the ability to produce clear, concise copy.
  5. Demonstrable ability to work quickly, flexibly and accurately in a dynamic, changing and pressured environment.
  6. Demonstrable professional and proactive approach
  7. Educated to at least SCQF level 6-7 or equivalent practical experience in the workplace
Desirable
  1. Experience of Higher Education sector
  2. Delivering multi-media marketing campaigns
  3. Competent in the use of relevant IT packages, and CRM specific packages such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics, Magento, Marketo etc.
  4. Working with in-house or external design and advertising agencies
  5. Experience of account based marketing techniques
