The Rol e: Marketing Compliance Analyst (Hybrid working London or Edinburgh or Paris or Luxembourg) M&G is committed to helping people plan for their future with confidence. To be relevant in the future we need to centre around the needs of our customers in the 28 markets we serve - from America to Europe to Asia - and in the UK, developing compelling propositions.The Brand and Marketing function plays an essential role in inspiring people to plan for a better future and make M&G plc the brand they choose to make it happen. Responsible for the delivery of compliant marketing communications in the UK and internationally, the Marketing Compliance Analyst will be critical in delivering clear, fair and not misleading communications for our customers and clients. This role will operatewithin the Global Marketing Communications Compliance Team. To be successful in this role, you will be confident in providing sound regulatory advice in a first-line digital environment to stakeholders across the function and beyond; driving customer-centric thinking and working with others to find solutions. You willinspire your stakeholders, helping them to further develop regulatory capability and confidence, supporting a strong risk culture. Ideally, you will have held a similar financial promotions regulatory role, though we are able to consider candidates with abroader regulatory, legal or risk related background. Experienced Colleague:
  • Accountable for providing a quality service or product to customers and stakeholders, using skills/experience built through significant practical experience or training
  • For team leaders, accountable for ensuring the team the role supports is delivering a quality service or product
  • Works within established frameworks and procedures, with the freedom to interpret them to solve a range of problems
  • Delivers outputs that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve them
  • Makes suggestions for improvements to the work of the team, based on previous experience and knowledge of similar situations
Key Responsibilities for this role
  • Reviewing, approving and advising on marketing communications within the Marketing Compliance Framework, ensuring all content is clear, compliant and customer-centric.
  • Supporting the team in the delivery of ongoing continuous improvements to strengthen the control environment, leading on specified activities within this.
  • Demonstrating financial promotions regulatory knowledge within the UK and ideally other markets, using your skills and business knowledge to apply sound judgement.
  • Working collaboratively with others, providing clear and actionable feedback to expedite the approval process.
  • You will demonstrate efficiency in your approvals, drawing on creativity and digital agility to find opportunities to work in easier and ways. Demonstrating critical thinking skills, you will use data and other sources of information to prompt ongoing improvements.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Language fluency whether native speaker or qualifications Spanish, French or German (essential)
  • Experience of delivering quality customer-centric marketing communications regulatory advice and approvals within financial services, preferably life and pensions.
  • Must have experience of working in a regulated environment and can demonstrate an understanding of pensions and investment funds.
  • Strong people skills, capable of inspiring others to deliver the best for customers and develop their regulatory knowledge.
  • Experience of risk management and supporting continuous improvements of controls.
  • Experience of working with broad stakeholder groups across multiple channels.
  • Experience of providing engaging and interactive training sessions to others, in-person and/or remotely.
  • Proactive and highly collaborative style with a positive attitude to deliver through self and others within a fast-paced, commercial environment.Strong verbal and written skills - in person and remotely, with good attention to detail.
