SRUC is rooted in its longstanding relationships with land-based industries asa partner educating and training a knowledgeable and skilled workforce and delivering progressive research and consultancy. SRUC has a strong heritage of delivering well respected Further Education at its multiple campuses, along with undergraduate and postgraduateteaching and research in partnership with high-ranking universities in Scotland.The role of Marketing and Student Recruitment Officer (MSRO) is critical to SRUC’s vision. Student recruitment is an institutional priority, generating 38% of the organisation’s income across SFC grant, student fees and education contracts. Poorly developedor ill-informed student recruitment poses a huge threat to the stability of SRUC, and its income generation and growth agenda.The MSRO (PG) has a focus on student recruitment to SRUC’s Postgraduate courses (but will contribute to all student recruitment activity) and thus will liaise with a number of teaching staff and course leaders at many of SRUC’s campus locations.Each MSRO takes responsibility for recruitment from specific territories or target markets for SRUC, whether that be recruitment to their own area or another. The MSRO (PG) will work autonomously in their market, and also in collaboration with the wholeMarketing and Student Recruitment team. The post involves frequent working out with normal College hours, and travel with some overnight stays to facilitate participation in recruitment conventions, will feature.Key Responsibilities of the role:Marketing and Student Recruitment
