Please see our careers page for more information on why Energy Saving Trust is a great place to work.The role Do you want to develop your marketing skills in a busy and supportive environment, whilst helping people to create warmer homes, reduce their energy bills, and lower their carbon footprint We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant to joinour Home Energy Scotland team.Youll provide digital and traditional marketing support, including content creation and administrative support - focusing on the delivery of the Home Energy Scotland programme; Scotlands leading free and impartial energy advice service. As part of EnergySaving Trusts wider marketing and communications team, youll work with marketing professionals and energy experts to deliver your role at what is a crucial time for householders.What youll do

  • Youll support the marketing team to implement annual marketing communications plans and assist with day-to-day tactical marketing activity
  • Youll create content for and monitor our social media channels
  • Youll assist with creating and editing website content such as news stories, blog posts and case studies
  • Youll create, schedule, and help optimise email campaigns
  • Youll support with collateral development, events and general administrative tasks
What youll bring
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills
  • Writing and editing experience for social media, with the ability to turn complex issues into succinct, compelling content
  • An ability to work using your own initiative and manage and prioritise a busy workload
  • It would be desirable (but not essential) to have digital marketing experience and knowledge, including experience of using website content management systems, social media monitoring platforms, email marketing software and experience in using design andbasic video editing tools such as InDesign, Canva and Biteable.
This is a permanent position. Our standard weekly hours are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.As standard we offer all contracts on blended (home and office-based) working.To apply, please visit our website where you can send your CV and cover letter.
