Job Description

We are looking for a driven individual to join us as a Manufacturing Training Specialist.RoslinCT is a world-leading contract manufacturing and development organisation specialising in the field of cell therapies, advanced therapeutic medicinal products and regenerative medicine across a range of therapeutic targets.As part of our continued growth, which includes the opening of our state-of-the-art BioCube facility and brand new Training Academy, we are now recruiting across all of our teams including this Manufacturing Training Specialist role.This role is well suited to an individual that is looking to use their knowledge and experience in aseptic manufacturing and working within a GMP clean room environment and wants to focus on disseminating this to others within the sector.The Role:You will be a key member of the RoslinCT Training Academy team and hold responsibility for training new and current members of RoslinCT staff as well as delivering training to external delegates. The ideal candidate will have experience in training witha focus on cell therapy related skills according to GMP within a controlled clean room environment.Responsibilities:You will be responsible for carrying out internal and external training in all areas of GMP, aseptic manufacturing and clean room work. Your responsibilities will be varied but will include;

  • Preparation of documentation and presentations to be used in the provision of manufacturing training as a subject matter expert.
  • Design and provision of relevant training which contributes to the induction and initial training of new RoslinCT staff.
  • Supporting the manufacturing operation by providing relevant and timely training to contribute to the ongoing training and development programme.
  • Assisting in evaluating the manufacturing training needs within RoslinCT.
  • As a subject matter expert, keeping up to date with innovations with the manufacturing team and the ATMP sector to ensure training provisions are pertinent and current.
  • Review and management of initial Training Academy training plans for new staff.
  • Maintenance and housekeeping of all RoslinCT Training Academy facilities and assets.
  • Contribute to the design and provision of RoslinCT Training Academy external training courses.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
  • Preparation and maintenance of appropriate Training Academy documentation, such as, Standard Operating Procedures, Risk assessments and Batch Records.
  • Completion of quality related documentation including batch production records, change controls, incidents/deviations and risk assessments in accordance with GMP and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:You will hold a Life Science Degree, or related subject, or equivalent training and experience.Skills and Experience:You will be able to demonstrate:
  • A background in stem cells, cellular therapies or cell banking
  • Experience of working within a GMP clean room environment
  • Excellent communication skills, especially oral presentation skills when delivering seminars on relevant topics
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel) with the ability to utilise software packages to organise and track training
  • The ability to work effectively within a small team
Location:We are based at Edinburgh BioQuarter, which acts as a hub for Scottish Life Science with close links to the University and the Royal Infirmary.
