Who we are looking for State Street Global Transactions Control andBanking - Payments team have a new role as part of our Liquidity Managementoperation in Edinburgh. You must have a strong understanding of cashmanagement, global payments infrastructure as well as the various modernizationinitiatives across markets and Financial Market Utilities. You have extensiveexperience and demonstrated ability to act as a liaison between operational,project and technology teams, vendors and external industry groups working onlarge scale cross-platform high risk projects. What you will be responsible forOversee the forecast of expected Nostro relatedcash activity and the accurate funding of self-custody markets and sub custodysecondary nostros in line with critical market deadlines.Liaise with Global Treasury, FMUs, agent banks,network management as appropriate to resolve issues intra-day.Determine escalation and reporting as appropriateto senior management, Global Treasury, Credit Risk etc.Actively attain SME level knowledge andunderstanding of business processes and flows via in-depth analysis ofworkflows and Standard Operating ProceduresActively participate in test strategy developmentand planning in our Global Banking Modernisation activities.Coordinate and perform business user acceptancetesting for new systemsClearly and concisely communicate defects andexpected results to IT and project partnersAssist business teams with implementation planningand support including creation and updates of relevant standard operatingprocedures and guides as well as hands on trainingWhat we value These skills will help you succeed in this roleAbility to work under pressure and in a deadlinedriven environmentAbility to lead a team performing high riskfunctionsExceptional operational and IT knowledge andunderstanding of the global payments infrastructure including SWIFT (MT,ISO20022), LYNX/LVTS, CHAPS, FED, CHIPS etc.Understanding of liquidity management principlesand processes as it relates to global payment settlement systems andcorrespondent banking modelsExcellent interpersonal and communicationskillsDemonstrated ability to manage testing activitiesin large scale corporate projects and a strong understanding of structuredquality assurance practicesExcellent problem solving and analytical skills,attention to detail and organizationSelf-starter with an aptitude to troubleshoot andlearn independentlyEducation & Preferred QualificationsUniversity degree in Business, Accounting,Finance, Information Technology or related professionalexperienceStrong experience in the Banking sectorYou can demonstrate in-depth knowledge of paymentflows, cash management and the SWIFT networkAbout State StreetWhat we do.
