Empowering government to make a difference to everyone, every day.The day job Sopra Steria require an experience Software Engineer to join the team and provide an expert level of skills capable of building software for an exciting Marine project for the Scottish Government.You’ll join a collaborative team already in situ where you will play a key role in providing development leadership for the continued progress on an essential tool in the Scottish Government’s armory.Key responsibilities:

  • To produce integration test strategies, integration test plans and manage integration testing.
  • To implement change control procedures.
  • To maintain and develop a high level of knowledge, skill and competencies in software development for an extensive range of systems development project types.
  • To ensure that appropriate software configuration management processes for deliverables within the context of the phase are implemented.
  • To identify and communicate potential risk areas to the Company and the customer.
    • Essential skills:
  • Demonstrable experience of working as a Lead or Senior Software Engineer on large or complex software engineering programmes / projects with multiple software development teams
  • Project / team leadership of multiple software development teams
  • Configuration Management
    • Tools Include

  • b) Red Hat - Enterprise Linux, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, Fuse, Process Automation Manager (formerly known as JBoss BPM Suite), Decision Manager (formerly JBoss BRMS)
