Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Lead Data Engineer Officer for initial 3 month contract, with potential to extend, on a daily rate of £400-450/day outside IR35. The role will be remote based initially.Responsibilities:• Taking the lead in designing technical solutions for data integration solutions, identifying risks and planning implementation with other technical teams. Providing technical leadership to a team of developers, including formal quality assurance of code and resolving complex data issues (including Oracle Spatial data). • The initial project is to upgrade Pentaho DI Upgrade to version 9, including the using of components for Active MQ.Essential Skills:• Technical Design for data integration projects• Technical Leadership in a data integration role (including quality assurance of code and resolving complex data issues)• leading technical upgrade projects for data integration software, ideally Pentaho DI• Pentaho DI, including ActiveMQ components• PL/SQL • SQL, including use of Oracle Flashback and Oracle SpatialDesirable Skills:• Public Sector experience.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
