Job Description

You will also be flexible,reliable and love working as part of a team.As a Laundry Assistant youll launder and iron our residents clothing to the highest standards, putting it away tidily and ensuring wardrobes and drawers are always clean and neat.Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper to the required Company standards. Cleaning duties can be in any area of the nursing home.
  2. Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
  3. Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
  4. Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the Home Manager.
  5. Carry out any other reasonable instructions of the Home Manager.
  6. To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.
  7. To comply with COSHH regulations.
  8. To always adhere to infection control policy.
  9. To ensure the correct use of PPE.
  10. To follow the correct use of colour code systems within the home
  11. Carry out other ad hoc duties as requested by the Head Housekeeper or Home Manager.
  12. To ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily.
  13. To ensure trolleys are re-stocked at the end of shift and cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidy
Skills & Experience
  1. Previous cleaning experience
  2. Ability to communicate on the telephone
  3. Good communication skills both written and verbal
  4. Able to carry out instructions accurately.
  5. A knowledge of health and safety
  6. An understanding of infection control
  7. Flexible and reliable attitude to working arrangements
  8. Committed to customer care and first-class service provision
  9. Ability to work alone as well as part of a team
  10. Adaptable, friendly, polite, courteous, and caring
