Job Description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Stirling, is currently looking to recruit a Junior Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £170.95 - £193.44 (inside IR35) This role will be remote working.Responsibilities:- Develop plan and monitor progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate. Initiate extra activities where gaps in the project are identified. Ensuring, the management of project controls (risk, issues, and dependencies)- Ensure new objectives, products or services from the project are of the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget in accordance with the project plan.- Communication with stakeholders both internal and external (for example managing third party contributions to the project as appropriate)Essential Skills:- 2-4 years’ experience of significant participation in project teams - Familiarity with project methodologies (PRINCE 2 and AGILE) - Project management experience (controls and budget) - Experience of using Microsoft Project, Excel and Visio to plan projects.- Excellent and demonstrable communication skills e.g., ability to report and explain plans, and progress to project boards. - Ability to write produce project documentation e.g., PIDs, risk and issue logs etc. - Ability to influence all levels of the organisation. Desirable Skills:- 1-2 years’ experience of managing projects in a distributed organisation.- Experience of managing project teams (direct and indirect reports) - 1-2 years’ experience of managing third party suppliers.- 1-2 years’ experience of dealing at senior management level. - Commercial and Public Sector experience advantageous.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
