Job Description

Role: IT Systems EngineerLocation: EdinburghSalary: £36,000 + Great Training Opportunities & Benefits**INTERVIEWING NOW - DO NOT MISS OUT**Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced IT professionals in a well-established and forward-thinking computer Games Company based in Edinburgh They are looking for a personable person to assist them with the building and support of their IT Systems.You will need to be a highly capable IT generalist, who has broad technical proficiency across various disciplines such as networking, storage, security and cloud. The Role:

  • Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all levels of IT equipment associated with various teams.
  • Work with all aspects of IT infrastructure, applying your technical skills and experience to deliver on projects.
  • Troubleshoot, fix and maintain systems, applying best practice and methodologies to installation, migration and configuration processes.
  • Act in an escalation capacity for both end-user and engineering support issues.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues onsite and in other sites on a regular basis, including occasional travel.
    • Skills
  • Advanced understanding of and experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure.
  • Network Administration (Cisco, Dell, HPE).
  • Virtualisation Experience (VMware vSphere 6+)
  • Understand of SAN Storage Technology
  • Firewall administration and security best practices
    • Desirable (Non-Essential) Skills
  • Version control system administration (Perforce)
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Experience with backup and DR technologies (Veeam)
  • Exposure to the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Database administration (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
