Job Description

IT Service Desk Admin Analyst(Remote)*This role is initially a fixed term contract with the potential to become permanent*Menzies Distribution are looking for aIT Service Desk Admin Analyst to join our team in Edinburgh Park. IT Service Desk is a 24/7 Service Function for all Menzies Depots. All IT related queries are processed through the Service Desk bya team of analysts. Reporting to the Service Desk Manager, analysts will be responsible for handling IT queries from the distribution business into the Service Desk. The role is based on a 36.25 hour week working Monday-Friday dayshift covering 8 hoursper day between the hours 7am and 7pm.IT Service Desk Admin AnalystDuties:

  • Responding to and processing all incoming emails into the Service Desk central mailbox
  • Ensuring all tickets are logged and tracked in the service management platform, service now.
  • 1st line support and first-time fix for common incidents/requests
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Fulfilling order requests and raising Purchase Orders
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Can work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently
  • Participation in ad hoc project work
  • Participation in team meetings

  • Previous IT analyst experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience providing first line support to various offices/depots
  • Full and current UK driving license
  • Nationwide travel & occasional overnight stays (as required)
  • Available to work varying shift patterns (Day & Night)
