* IT Operations* AWS* ISO9001 / ISO27001IT Operations Manager £45,000 - £55,000PermanentEdinburgh Closing date Thursday 12th November Meraki Talents brilliant start-up client in the renewable energy sector require a IT Operations Manager to join them on a permanent basis in Edinburgh. This role requires an IT Operations Manager who has a strong technical support background and still is passionate about being hands-on. In this strategic yet hands-on role you will be responsible for maintaining the companys IT infrastructure and support services along with technical solutions and cyber security. This will involve maintaining servers, hosting networks, providing application support, network management, desktop support and provisioning all IT equipment used within the business.In addition, the role is responsible for developing and implementing our information governance, data protection and cyber security policies to ensure that we have a system that is robust and secure. You will also lead the IT effort towards attaining ISO9001 and ISO27001 accreditation performing audits and updates as required to remain compliant. There will also be a requirement to set up and manage customer support helpdesk and services.Responsibilities of the IT Operations Manager;* Delivery and rollout of key strategic IT and quality initiatives* Develop our IT processes and procedures to attain ISO9001 and ISO27001 accreditation* Specification and implementation of technical solutions and infrastructure technologies to meet business requirements and growth plans* Research and development of new ideas and technologies to improve the infrastructure, data protection and cyber security* Vendor management and contract negotiations including competitive pricing and formal procurement processes* Identify and guard against potential cyber security issues across the tools and processes in our infrastructure* Perform internal and 3rd party audits, reporting on and actioning any gaps in line with ISO standards* Organise and facilitate penetration testing of our business, infrastructure and products* Work with a partner to define requirements to develop and maintain an AWS environment* Provide expertise and advice in IT related matters* Experience managing service desk and/or supporting end usersBackground of the IT Operations Manager;* Degree in an IT or related discipline and proof of continued learning for evolving technologies and solutions* Technical leadership experience and project ownership* Excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm for customer satisfaction* Tenacious problem solver with a drive to achieve excellence* Attention to detail with a particular focus on best practices and security* Sound administration experience of industry wide products such as G Suite, Jira, Confluence, Dropbox etc. * Natural curiosity for solving challenging IT problems* Experience of establishing infrastructure solutions from the ground up* Experience in establishing and maintaining an IMS and good knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO27001 requirementsIs this job for you At Meraki, we love recruitment and love words.
