What the role entails:Some of the main duties of the IT Installation Engineer will include:

• Achieve overall customer satisfaction (CSAT) of 95%
• Consulting and preparing proposals for clients on new technologies that would complement their business.
• Organise and manage all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion with budgetary requirements.
• Provision of appropriate hardware and software in line with the customers needs.
• Ensuring that risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated and that projects are delivered successfully through to production.
• Perform customer follow-up to verify final resolution and determine satisfaction level.
• IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsofts core applications and operating systems, as well as virtual environments.
• Implement and Support of services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint Online), Intune, Autopilot, Basic Admin SQL, etc.
• Implement and Support of disaster recovery solutions.
• Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, switches, VLANs.
• Deployment of end user devices; Microsoft Windows and MacOS

What experience you need to be the successful IT Installation Engineer:

• Microsofts core business applications and operating systems, Windows Server, Active Directory
• Scoping, installation, configuration and understanding of firewalls preferably Watchguard.
• Scoping, installation, configuration and understanding of network Layer 2 and 3 switches preferably Cisco and Ubiquiti switches.
• Local Area Network topology understanding as it relates to VLANs, tagging and untagging.
• Understanding of the flow of email from sender to recipient and the domain name configurations needed such as MX, SPF, DMARC and Auto Discover
• How to procure, apply and license within Office 365
• Administration and disciplines to enable recommendations to the customer in written form by email and quotes.
• Experienced in laptop builds straight out the box by following guided manual processes and or MS Autopilot
• Understanding of Voice Call Queues and Auto Attendants
• Experienced in setting up video conferencing installations by following guided manual processes to setup equipment like Logitech Cameras, Microsoft TAP systems or Barco Clickshare
• ConnectWise Automate RMM Fundamentals or other
• Soft Skills, Customer Service (Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active Listening and customer-care)
• Ability to adapt to changes quickly; Self-motivated and self-disciplined, you remain calm under pressure and you are a capable and tenacious problem-solver.
• Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details
• Team player, you will thrive in a collaborative environment and will contribute fully to the success of your team
• A Full Driving license.
