Job Description

We are looking for 2 Investment Development Manager to join a nation leading insurance companys Edinburgh Office on a permanent basis. The role will be sitting within the companys Investment Solutions Team.The team supports the organisations investment proposition, where the role will be focused on ensuring that our clients, and their consultants and advisors, are effectively supported and aware of our quickly evolving capability.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day investment support for your panel of clients and consultants along with our distribution colleagues.
  • Lead on client and consultant engagements on our Investment Proposition, supporting Client Relationship Managers, Business Development Managers and wider distribution colleagues as required.
  • Attend client governance meetings, consultant/adviser research visits, and new business and retention pitches to present our workplace investment solutions.
  • Own Investment Proposition actions, with attendance at meetings to support commentary on fund performance and propositional updates.
  • Build strong relationship with distribution colleagues to plan and agree your support.
  • Provide SME input to RFP responses and research questionnaires.
  • Support identifying and briefing requirements for external-facing materials, such as pitch decks, to ensure that the Investment Propositions is effectively shown
  • Bring clarity to demands for propositional and wider engagement enhancements
  • Support training needs for external and internal colleagues in relation to the investment proposition
Skills and qualifications:
  • Passionate and engaging communicator and presenter.
  • Youll have a sound level of investment technical knowledge and relevant skills to be applied to effectively represent our investment propositions to a variety of internal and external audiences.
  • Youll demonstrate a sound understanding of the end customer, clients and the channels and products dependent on our fund range, especially in relation to the Workplace market.
  • Youll have experience of interacting with a range of external stakeholders, from Trustees to clients and EBCs.
  • Youll have a solid knowledge of the regulatory framework within which we operate and maintain an understanding and awareness of key investment themes facing the insurance industry.
  • Strong project management and delivery skills, with an eye for operational efficiency to meet the varied demands from both internal and external stakeholders
  • IMC or CFA qualified (or ability to demonstrate significant experience in this sector and willingness and drive to study towards it).
