Job Description

Fixed Term Contract Duration - 11 Months What the Hiring Manager says•tWe are looking to recruit an individual with passion for the industry into our growing team. This role will be assisting 3 investment managers and two senior investment administrator. •tThis work will cover all aspects of administration of the accounts, from opening, working with investment managers during the accounts life, and closing accounts, while ensuring this is performed in a compliant manner. •tThe individual will report to the Teams Head and the investment managers and investment assistants. •tWe will provide full training for the role, we work collaboratively to achieve the teams goal and you will progress as quickly as you learn the varied tasks. About the RoleLevel: 1 Department: Investment Management Location: Edinburgh Contract type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 months Regulated/non Regulated: non regulated

  • As your role is central within the team, you will be assisting in general administration roles. These duties are varied daily, but usually consist of answering the phones, preparing PowerPoint presentations, preparing suitability letters and maintenanceof suitability affirmations, and assisting in the production of investment proposals. You will be required to assist in the distribution of valuations and tax packs for the teams client base.
  • You will also be required to facilitate the smooth opening of new accounts, arrange payments to our clients and advisers, and assist Investment Managers are well prepared for client meetings.
  • You will be working very closely with our clients and their agents to provide the best service with information and reports regarding their portfolio, which necessitates close relationship building with our stakeholders whether that be internally or externally.You will therefore need to have a pleasant and personable manner, able to get on with a variety of clients.
  • You should be comfortable writing and responding to emails and letters as well as talking to clients on the phone.

  • Ideally you will have experience in a similar role as an Investment Administrator within Wealth or Investment Management, however this is not essential
  • We will also consider candidates considering a career as a Trainee Investment Manager and keen to start their career in the industry
  • To be successful in this role youll be an independent worker and thinker.
  • You have an interest in financial services or have a good understanding of our financial services where you can utilise your knowledge and experience within investment management.
  • A good level of communication skills is required.
  • If you have a Financial Qualification such as QFA, experience within financial services is beneficial.
