We are looking for an International Finance Manager to support the finance functions in the CMS CMNO offices around the world. CEE - seven offices, Middle East - four offices, Singapore, China - Hong Kong and mainland, in their day to operations both locallyand as part of the CMS CMNO group. About the Role Key responsibilities of the function/role include:- Bed in the recent rollout of worldwide ERP which has a number of layers allowing use for local accounts, worldwide partnership/budgeting basis and UK group statutory accounts.- Ensure that the local accounts comply with local requirements and that audits and other regulatory filings are made on a timely basis. - The UK based International Finance team carries out this function for some of the smaller units so need to review as appropriate- Join up requirements for completion of UK statutory accounts for overseas entities and other local audits including providing advice and resource as necessary - Develop checklists as appropriate re fillings (probably in conjunction with tax teams)- Ensure that the entries made to the global accounting system at partnership/budget level are completed correctly and are consistent with the groups accounting policies and reconcile to local accounts. - Need to improve the "ownership" by the local offices- Work as necessary to move ownership of entries in respect of International Managers and other differences in accounting policies to the local offices - Communicate month end timetables and tasks/checklists and ensure compliance. To be carried in conjunction with UK group team as necessary- Liaise as necessary with the local finance teams re training, staff hiring and development and keeping up to date re developments- Work with central Finance & Management Accounting teams to communicate regular month end requirements together with any changes required at quarter of year ends.- Use various channels - regular group wide calls, newsletters, physical meetings and office visits (if appropriate) to keep local teams joined up - Project based work as offices develop - By the nature of this work, the requirements will vary - it may be to help to set up an office in new location, work to cover local regulatory changes e.g., introduction of VAT etc. About You Skills & Experience requiredKey Skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate at all levels, confident, with professional telephone manner- Analytical skills to resolve queries including "one offs" - Shows flexibility in approach- Is enthusiastic and keen to contribute- Works to given timeframes and anticipates likely workflows- Consistently produces accurate work- Proficient in MS Office generally- Creates a culture of trust in the teamExperience required- Exposure to and interest in non UK accounting teams and issuesProfessional/Educational Qualification- Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA etc) Equal Opportunities At CMS, a next-generation mindset is woven into all we do.
