Job Description

My client, a leading organisation in Edinburgh is seeking to appoint an Interim Finance Project Manager for a minimum 6 month day rate assignment on a hybrid working pattern.Client DetailsLeading group in their field based in central Edinburgh.Description

  • Responsible for successful delivery of various compliance, governance and internal control related projects
  • These projects include, but is not limited to:
- Ensure statutory compliance of a trust, including submission of financial statements, closure and de-registration, liaising with previous trustees and appropriate accounting for transactions- Review of all statutory/ regulatory compliance adherence- Design an assurance framework- Review, drafting and implementation of policies and process, including, but not limited to:
    • Travel and expenses
    • Tender policy and procedure
    • Delegation of Authority
    • Declaration of interest
    • Insurance renewal
    • Risk management
    • Debt recovery
    • Compensation
    • Finance systems management
- Review of finance processes and design and implementation of improved processes where required- Design and implementation of finance monthend control checklist- Successful tendering of our Internal Audit function- Assist with design of improved, accurate budget and forecast models for salary cost, VAT submissions etc- Prepare accurate cost and income analysis as and when required- Develop Business Case Models to be used for Income Fee setting, Capex spend requests etc- Any other projects as identified by the Senior boardProfile
  • Experience as Finance Director or similar level
  • Fully qualified - ICAS, ACCA, CIMA etc
  • Excellent experience in overall financial control, statutory compliance, governance
  • Excellent experience in drafting and implementing policies and procedures
  • Ability to develop high quality models for budget and forecast purposes
