Job Description

Meraki Talent are supporting with the appointment of an Interim Accountant based in Edinburgh paying £35,000 - £40,000. The role will offer an initial 6-month fixed term contract. The CompanyThis company is a global player that has grown sustainability over the past 10 years due to both organic growth and M&A activity. The next 12-24 months will be considered a period of consolidation as it looks to stable its platform before once again looking to grow and expand through further corporate development.Due to the size of the business and finance team, it provides the ample environment for career progression & development. Furthermore, it has an extremely talented finance leadership team that are so passionate about ensuring everyone reaches they full potential so pride themselves on constantly acting as role models and mentors to their people.On OfferThe role of Interim Accountant will provide:

  • £35,000 - £40,000 base salary
  • 6-month fixed term contract
  • Excellent company benefits (pro rated to contract length)
  • You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
  • Reporting to and deputising for the Senior Financial Accountant
  • Involvement in a number of high value & business critical projects including allocation of capital & revenue spends
  • Business partnering with non-financial departments & departmental Heads
  • Preparation of statutory accounts & notes under both local and international standards
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register both locally and internationally
  • Assisting with budgeting
  • Assisting with reforecasting
  • Assisting with annual audit preparation
  • Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls and systems
  • Liaising with internal and external tax experts
  • Adhoc duties
  • To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:
  • Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified Accountant
  • Experience of operating within global and sizable businesses would be highly advantageous
  • Strong financial accounting experience, exposure to FRS 102 would be advantageous
  • Experience of maintain the fixed assets register
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
