Job Description

Infrastructure EngineerEdinburgh/Remote£38,000 - £44,000KMy client is an education provider who has been promoting education, research, and consultancy for over 100+ years in Scotland. There mission is to mobilize knowledge and talent within their students, alumni, and academic professionals, with the end goalof benefiting Scotlands natural economy. Their technical team have a big part to play in this - they provide/support the infrastructure that makes it possible and work with the academics to support their vital research.Main Duties:

  • Aiding the technical team with the ongoing Transformation Project - which focus on transformation existing infrastructure to a new generation of technology
  • Add valuable input into current infrastructure and how it can be transformed
  • Working alongside researchers within the education provider to provide the infrastructure necessary for their research projects
  • Providing technical guidance to other more junior team members when required
  • Working on BAU tasks alongside high level tickets
  • Whilst this role is primarily remote, you will need a driving license and access to a vehicle for the times you need to attend the different sites!
