Infrastructure Consultant (Network & Security)£50 - 55,000 per annumRemoteI have an excellent opportunity for infrastructure consultant (Network & Security) to join a national technology company at their headquarters in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for consultancy, design, deployment and transition of new and existing network and security services. You will assist and advise customers, sales, and solutions architects, providing subject matter expertise at each stage of design, deployment, and support process, whilst contributing towards project or bid design and other written documentation.You will have solid technical skills and be comfortable in a client facing role.Key skills:·Experience of complex networks and Data Centre network architectures.·Experience of working within an ISP or Telco environment.·Strong experience with using service provider level Cisco routing/switching equipment, F5 NLBs, Juniper routers.·Experience with Enterprise routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP, ideally in ISP networks.·Experience of MPLS technologies in SP networks including following protocols and products: L2VPNs, L3VPNs, MPLS-TE.·Experience with Enterprise NG Firewall (Cisco/Juniper/FortiNET/Checkpoint) design and deployment, incorporating IPSEC and SSL protocols.·Experience with other network technologies, including HSRP/VRRP/GLBP, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Dot1q, QinQ, LAG/LACP, MTUs, CAM, ARP, CDP.·Experience with CAT5 and fibre cabling and Data Centres cabling management.·Experience with Data Centres network monitoring including SNMP and Syslog protocols.You will be certified to CCNP(or similar) and be familiar with ITIL and project management frame works, it would be advantageous is you had CCIE (or were keen to go through your certification) and knowledge of any Firewalls/Switches networks outside of Cisco, Storage Area Networks, Windows Server networking, Virtualisation (VMWare / Hyper-V), AWS and/or Azure Cloud Platforms.In return you will receive a competitive salary, and benefits package and a company who will support further learning and development and certifications.To apply please send your CV in the fist instance.
