This role is required to help the organisation establish a new HR Service delivery model, which will comprise providing Resourcing and Talent, HR Systems Development, Business Analysis and MI services along with payroll delivery across the organisation.Client DetailsScottish government agencyDescriptionThe role of the HR Transformation Manager is to lead a team of HR specialists in providing operational and strategic people services including payroll, reward and benefits, HR systems development, HR analytics and management information, workforce planning,resourcing, talent development and recruitment.Your role is to provide clear leadership in delivering a quality, value-added HR service. This includes ensuring customer focused and streamlined guidance, efficient processes and procedures are in place and consistency in advice and support from acrossthe team You should be solutions focussed so that we can develop our HR ambitions now and in the future.The post is based in our Edinburgh Office with the requirement for occasional travel to other offices across Scotland. In particular, you will need to travel regularly to Inverness, to support the smaller team located there. We encourage working flexiblyand therefore in addition to working out of our different offices, you can also incorporate working from home too.ProfileEssential:

• Leading and managing a team of HR specialists including coaching team members to provide quality of service,
• Effective planning and prioritising of workloads and resources to deliver an excellent service;
• Experience of identifying, implementing and embedding service and process improvements, encouraging others to re-think ways of doing things, as you continually strive for improvement and excellence;
• Experience of providing professional people management advice to Directors and senior managers on a wide range of issues;
• Ability to build strong working relationships with a range of different stakeholders;
• Experience of managing, and coaching staff, and colleagues, particularly through change.
• Experience of working within a unionised environment and participating in consultation and negotiations;
• Ability to produce high quality written reports to inform and influence senior managers;
• CIPD Qualified to a minimum of Chartered Level or be willing to achieve within an agreed time period;
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of employment law;

Desirable:

• Experience of managing a geographically dispersed team to support the delivery of key business objectives.
• An accredited project management qualification and experience of managing complex projects.
• Knowledge of the Civil Service
