Job Description

Our client, a public sector body, seek a HR Project Manager.This is interim role for 4 months, with potential for a short extension.This role is based in Saughton House, Edinburgh, with some hybrid working.It attracts a day rate of £450 (inside IR35)Main Duties will include:

  • Manage the People Survey delivery project - chairing regular project meetings, tracking the delivery of outputs by a range of teams (communications, analysis, HR business partners etc) and supporting the Deputy Director for Change and Operations in reportingto Ministers, ET and SCS.
  • Co-ordinate and oversee the follow up action for SG following award of our IiP and IiYP ratings, in alignment with the People Survey findings.
  • Co-ordinate and track work streams to deliver a new corporate strategy, leading meetings of responder teams and managing commissions from the joint leadership team directing the work.
  • With others, support the co-ordination of capability building within the Directorate to support a shift in culture as part of the transformation programme which will embed project management approaches in all business areas of People Directorate and enabledevelopment of "home grown" capability for the future.
Essential skills:
  • Experience of managing programmes of work and able to apply effective programme principles and techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling the delivery of outcomes. This can include but is not restricted to a working knowledge of Prince2 and Agilemethodologies;
  • A strategic and collaborative approach, with a track record of professional service delivery and continuous improvement;
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships that support collaborative working and development/delivery of shared outcomes;
  • Excellent organisational and management skills focused on delivery. Able to balance reactive work with strategic planning in order to solve, but also pre-empt, problems or issues that could impact on project delivery or the realisation of benefits
