HOME CARE COORDINATOR 2022Rate of pay: 35 hours plus On-call plus visits. We expect to hold this position for 2022.We were also 2021 finalists in both Carer of the Year Award and Positive Impact Award.Please dont delay and send us your CV by email today!Job role:Extremely busy in ALL areas of Edinburgh, we are looking to recruit another HOMECARE COORDINATOR to help with our growing needs. As a coordinator with JB Agency you will be required to take the lead in maintaining our high standards of care.You will be working as part of a team, helping to coordinate some 3,000 hours of homecare per week. You will be responsible for the clients and care workers in your allocated area. Although office-based you will be required to visit clients and workers alike;to better understand your clients needs, your workers strengths and weaknesses and even carry out the odd personal care visit!You will also be required to take your share of the On-call service, likely to be every 4 weeks and remain compliant with National Care Standards and good practice at all times.Other duties will include:Ensuring all services are covered safely and by an appropriate care workerPreparing rotas for care workersSetting up new packages of careMaintaining records both paper and computerisedExperience of rostering systems and electronic monitoring is preferred but not essentialInterviews and assessments of care workersGeneral office dutiesEssential Skills and Experience:SVQ3 Health and Social CareCommunication skillsGood telephone mannerAdministrative skillsPlanning and organisation skillsAbility to work under pressureAbility to work on their own and as a team playerIn addition to the essential skills and experience, we require that:You have a passion for careYou have previous experience of Personal Care (excludes family care)You can provide 2 work references from the care sectorYou are reliable and are responsibleYou are organised and punctualYou have a current Moving and Handling certificateYou have your own transportYou have authority to work in the UKYou are registered or willing to register with PVG schemeYou are registered or willing to register with SSSC
