Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Head of Security Operations for an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend on a rate of £700-£720/day (inside of IR35). Due to the currentcircumstances this role will be remote based for the foreseeable future.Responsibilities:- Be a key member of the Cyber Security, Risk and Resilience team. - Manage a small team of operational security staff responsible for the management and monitoring of security events. - Manage key security tooling including vulnerability management and network segmentation. - Have a key role in Security Incident Management and Response and may be expected to take part in an extended support rota during live operations.Essential Skills:- Experience of multiple Information Security and Cyber Security technical domains - In depth hands-on experience of IT security tools and the implementation of security controls in an enterprise environment- Working knowledge of best practice security standards and principles eg ISO/IEC 27001, NCSC Cloud Security Principles, NIST Cybersecurity Framework etc- Previous experience leading teams, coaching and providing feedbackDesirable Skills:- Professional Security Qualification eg CISSP, CISM- QRadar engineering experience- Nexpose / Insight VM engineering experience- Network security experienceIf you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
