Job Description

Head of Development - Edinburgh - GBP up to £100,000+ DOE (Can be flexible for the right candidate)This is an amazing opportunity to start an exciting role in a rapidly growing software company!This role is mainly remote and requires you to come into the office at certain points throughout the year.You will lead effectively manage relationships with internal teams and clients, work within company guidelines to produce innovative solutions and present work, and articulate technical executions at the client level.Responsibilities:

  • Being the Scrum Master, managing the full production process ensuring continuous delivery practices in order to deliver great products on time and to budget.
  • Being Leader and mentor to the development teams, including lending a hand with the coding and bug fixing from time to time.
  • Introducing Innovation, including evaluating and introducing the latest technologies and paradigms where this is beneficial.
  • Managing and evaluating freelance, outsource, and FTE development team members, including performing reviews and mapping out career paths.
  • Work with the business, R&D teams, and senior management to develop and maintain roadmaps and schedules for the development and delivery of products.
  • Producing accurate and detailed technical documentation, e.g. wireframes and functional specs, user manuals, user journeys, etc.

  • Cloud SaaS, PaaS and IaaS systems
