The organisation is approx. 150 people, and growing, and the business wants to upskill their Cyber proposition. Reporting directly into theCTO, the Head of Cyber Security will be responsible for taking custody of the full Cyber proposition whilst looking to build a team from the ground up, taking for responsibility for all recruitment and hiring. This role offers a truly unique opportunity tobuild a team, and would suit either an existing Head of looking to do something completely new and different, or a Cyber Sec Manager looking for more breadth and ownership. Due to the presence they are looking for this individual to have, they will belooking for them to spend 50% of their working month based in person in either their Edinburgh or Glasgow office. Responsibilities of the Head of Cyber Security:- Be the subject matter expert on all aspects of Cyber for the organisation - Contribute to wide array of workstreams - From security architecture to DevSecOps, to supporting clients to use SaaS platforms in the most secure manner - Focused on hands-on technical delivery, whilst supporting the Governance, Risk & Compliance team - Take ownership of building the Cyber proposition for the organisation, building a team underneath you as the business continues to grow Background of the Head of Cyber Security:- Extensive experience working within an InfoSec or CyberSec environment - Experience working at a Senior, Managerial or Head of level is essential - People management experience would be preferable, if not the appetite to manage and develop people would be required - Knowledge of vulnerability management and remediation - CISSP/CISM would be handy, or the desire to undertake the qualification required - Cloud knowledge highly preferable.
