As Head Chef you will oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation. Consistency is key and experience in a branded restaurant environment is essential. Successful Head Chef candidates must be natural leaders who will nurture their team and develop junior chefs.The ideal candidate will be an energetic, experienced Head Chef with at least 3 years experience in a similar role. The client will consider experienced Senior Sous Chef candidates as full training and support will be provided.Key Responsibilities;* Ensuring the smooth operation of the food service and preparation within the kitchen* Hiring, Training & Development of your brigade* Working with the GM to ensure rotas are within budget & allow the kitchen to work to its best potential* Monitoring of Wastage & Staff Food to ensure accurate GP% calculation* Stock Rotation & Ordering to ensure minimum wastage but also having the correct par levels to ensure a customer is not left wanting* The Implementation & maintenance of a Cook-safe food safety system* Documentation & Safe preparation of Allergens within the kitchenExperience required;* Proven track record successfully managing service in a busy fast paced kitchen* All necessary knowledge in food preparation and cookery to execute high end, freshly prepared dishes.* Stock management to ensure consistent food GPs are maintained* Working knowledge of cooksafe to ensure food hygiene and kitchen standards are maintained* Experience costing dishes, specials and menus.* Food allergen awareness* Recipe & menu development* Staff training and development, creating a positive and proactive working environmentIf you are a passionate and dynamic Head Chef with a proven track record in a branded restaurant group, we invite you to apply today.
