Due to our continued growth, we are currently lookingto recruit a Graduate Low Carbon Applications Engineer, based at our Edinburgh office.As a Graduate Low Carbon Applications Engineer at SAV, you will be working alongside experienced low carbon technology engineers, applying and developing your knowledge and expertise to help reduce the energy consumption of commercial buildings, such ashospitals, schools and universities, and within the multi-unit residential sector. Learning from those around you and working across a wide range of technologies, such as combined heat and power, heat interface units and pressure independent controls, youwill enhance your understanding of how buildings work and how their design can be improved to be more energy efficient. SAV has a strong commitment to developing its Graduate Low Carbon Applications Engineers; in addition to advancing your engineering skills,knowledge and experience, you will have the opportunity to enhance your wider business and commercial awareness.Responsibilities:- Continually developing your knowledge and understanding of low carbon technologies and their application through your involvement in a wide range of projects and your engagement with internal and external stakeholders.- Having direct involvement with projects; communicating with customers to ascertain and define project requirements, reviewing project specifications, drawings and schedules and responding to project tenders, producing quotations and technical documentationin an accurate and timely manner.- Delivering projects and providing support post-handover, monitoring the energy efficiency of the buildings and delivering technical support.Skills and Experience:- A commitment to self development.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.- Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, news, data and research quickly.- Self starter, with the ability to work with minimal supervision and thrive both on your own initiative and as part of a team.- Proactive and highly organised, with excellent time management and planning skills and the ability to multi-task when necessary.Education:- Educated to degree level, preferably in mechanical engineering, building services, sustainability, or a similar discipline.If you are interested in joining a successful company, which invests in and develops its employees, fosters a positive work/life balance and is working at the forefront of providing low carbon technology solutions, please get in touch and forward a copyof your CV.
