General OperativeSearch Consultancy is delighted to be working in partnership with a Poultry Research Facility based in Edinburgh. We are looking for general operatives to join their team working Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm.Your main responsibilities as a General Operative will be to perform data collection during the processing of poultry from delivery of livestock.This will be through the entire abattoir process which will include bird handling, processing and finished product packaging and dispatch.The Role:* Collection of accurate and repeatable client data* Production of safe wholesome poultry meat* Maintain good hygiene practices* Strict adherence to SOPs, HACCP etc* Processing of live stock from delivery to cutting carcasses* Packaging of carcasses that have been cut* Working within a small team to achieve goalsAbout You:* Excellent communication skills* Comfortable working in a chilled food environment* Confident to work unsupervised and as part of a team* A degree of flexibility toward new tasks* Experience within a butchery / meat processing environment* Understanding of knives as dexterity is essentialYou must be able to use your intuitive on the conduct of your work as additional tasks may be directed from your line manager.If you are interested in applying for this role, please get in touch.Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
