Job Description

RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership witha creative design and digital agency in Edinburgh. Offering services in web design, development, branding, print, and digital marketing.We believe in creating Joy through everything we do. From approaching a project with a positive attitude to delivering beyond client expectations, everything counts.We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Full Stack ASP.Net Technical Developer to assist in planning and delivering projects that are accurate to design, secure, fully standards-compliant, within budget, and which showcase our capabilities.As part of this role, there is a requirement to work with other members of the Technical Team and the wider business including providing training and holding regular meetings to discuss, review and enhance the existing processes and techniques used by the Technical Team.Experience and Skills

  • At least 6+ years’ demonstrable commercial experience
  • Previous experience of developing technical solutions using:
  • C#, ASP.Net, ASP.Net Core, C#.Net
  • MVC, Razor, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, SASS/SCSS, JS Task Runners
  • Excellent knowledge of accessibility and usability of Azure DevOps, Umbraco, WordPress, Shopify AJAX, JS libraries such as AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS, WebAPIs
  • Ability to deliver high quality, secure, fully standards-compliant web solutions which are accurate to original design and technical specifications
  • Excellent programming skills – a master of solution development, planning, processes, technologies, and execution
  • Live and breathe creative technical solutions and love experimenting and finding technical solutions
  • Have knowledge, interest, and experience in tools, platforms, frameworks, languages beyond the traditional scope
  • Be able to laugh, bring fun, excitement, and inspiration to the business
  • Great communication skills to share ideas, plans, and deliverables with minimal technical direction
  • Technical prowess, understand the possibilities and constraints of design and front-end technical development
  • Excellent production skills and ability to assist or where required, take the lead on projects and deliver the work to the highest level of consistency, accuracy, and flair

    • Key responsibilities:
  • Accountable for accurate costing and estimating of technical projects and delivering to these estimates
  • Accountable for ensuring that all code is secure and properly tested.
  • Accountable for keeping up to date with the latest technologies and development techniques.
  • Continuously keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and development techniques.
  • Share your knowledge with the wider business so that we can look for ways to create new opportunities.
  • Develop cutting-edge client solutions that deliver to client business objectives.
  • Gain client and stakeholder buy-in to your ideas through effective presentation and engagement.
  • Assist with improving the technical delivery process.
  • Represent the Technical Team positively across the company by leading internal brainstorming and education sessions.
  • Develop high-quality, secure, compliant web applications.
  • Ensure that build outputs are accurate to original design specifications.
  • Testing your code to ensure that it is secure and contains extensive error handling.
  • Keep up-to-date with web technologies and Umbraco.
  • Ensure CMS implementations are user-friendly.
  • Develop re-usable content/modules/packages for the Umbraco CMS in order to assist in providing a more rapid development environment.
  • Provide accurate notes during the build stage and on completion of the project for handover to other members of the Technical Team.
  • Assist with the preparation of client data for email campaigns.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of client data.
  • Available for and/or supporting the deployment of web applications or updates to web applications that may occur during office hours or outwith office hours.

  • Assist the Senior Technical Developer and Technical Director in the development of the Technical Team.
  • Collaborate with the wider business.
  • Contribute to the companys online voice through the blog, Twitter, and any other medium.

  • Liaising, interacting, and educating the wider business of the latest developments.
