Job Description

Front End Developer - £50,000 - EdinburghReact, Redux, Jest/EnzymeOne of the worlds leading Data Analytics organisations (focused on providing real-time Data solutions to the gaming and banking industry) are now looking to hire a Front End Engineer to join their Edinburgh office.The business is pioneers in developing cutting-edge Tech in Machine Learning and Big Data to assist their clients and is now seeking to expand the Engineering Team.The Role:

  • Crafting robust and scalable front-end products that adhere to the specifications provided by the design team.
  • The successful will be required to work with the existing teams of developers to refine, document and follow guidelines set out while developing the highest quality front end code
  • Provide full test coverage of the code that is written
  • Enhancing existing code to bring it up to modern standards
  • Using the design systems in place to ensure continuity across the platform on all devices.
  • Mentoring and developing more junior members of the front-end team.
    • The successful Front End Developer should have:
  • Strong commercial experience with React & Redux, plus an ability to write modular JS code
  • Great experience with core Front End Tech - HTML5, CSS3 and core JavaScript
  • Prior experience in a TDD environment - ideally having exposure to Jest/Enzyme
  • Experience creating responsive, intuitive and robust UIs
  • Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs
    • Ideal experience/skillset:
  • Experience with Webpack 3, Material UI and CI/CD pipelines would be hugely advantageous
