This company is looking for an enthusiastic front end developer to join its technical team. This growing business provides electronic proof of delivery, route optimisation and related services to industry leaders across a range of sectors. Their mobile app is linked to a rich web application which helps companies to cut costs, streamline operational processes and improve service. This company is quickly increasing its market share across the UK & beyond making it a really exciting time to join the team. The company is based in the west of Edinburgh but all staff are currently working remotely.Purpose and ScopeAs a front end developer, you will use your UX experience to help plan and execute projects. You will work with the team to develop, deliver and improve high quality product features while helping to spread understanding and knowledge of UX & UI best practices with product owners and developers. What youll be doing- Working with product owners to design & prototype new and updated system modules- Crafting robust & scalable front-end interfaces using Vue.js- Planning & implementing tests to maintain the integrity of the frontend- Enhancing existing code to bring it in line with modern standards - Identifying & implementing new front end technologies.- Producing & maintain design documentation and style guidesWhat theyre looking for- The drive to continuously improve your technical & interpersonal skills- The confidence to inspire innovation - Experience working with product owners and user groups- 2+ years commercial experience of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and frontend frameworks (Vue.js, React etc)- Hands on experience of browser dev tools, for example, Firefox dev tools- Experience writing appropriate tests using tools such as Jest- Excellent communication skillsPreferred- 5+ years commercial experience- Experience mentoring other developers- Commercial experience using Vue.js- Experience using design collaboration tools such as Figma- Previous experience of working as part of an agile SCRUM based development team- Experience using shared GIT repositories- Experience of TypeScript, Babel, Webpack, Node.jsWhat youll get- Salary: £32,500-£45,000 depending on experience- 30 days holiday a year- Opportunity to buy 5 extra holiday days- High spec workstation, multiple monitors & your choice of operating system- Currently working from home- Office with strong transport links & free parking- Training budget- Flexible working hours- Company social events - Life assurance scheme which includes remote GP appointments, mental health support, physiotherapy and employee assistance- Bike to work scheme- Pension plan
