Job Description

Sectors: Medical, Software, Internet of Things, EngineeringRole: FPGA Design EngineerType: ContractLocation: EdinburghDaily rate: £250 – £350An award-winning established Company who are at the forefront of Medical Devices, Software, Internet of Things & Engineering are seeing an FPGA Design Engineer to come and join the business on a 6-month contract to be based in Edinburgh.Initially this role will be fully remote due to COVID-19 with the flexibility of part remote working thereafter. The daily rate is £250 - £350 depending on experience. Outside IR35.The successful FPGA Design Engineer will have experience in the following areas:

  • 3-5+ years industry expereince
  • Knowledge about FPGA Design Flow and FPGA Design Challenges (requirement, RTL coding,
  • simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, P&R, board level integration and verification)
  • FPGA design using VHDL, Xilinx, Verilog
  • Design with Xilinx and Altera FPGA and CPLD devices
  • Using VHDL/Verilog HDL languages for FPGA design
  • Analogue and digital electronic circuits
  • Experience of high-speed digital circuit design
  • PCB design using CADstar, Altium or similar
  • Embedded Firmware expereince would be a bonus
