Firmware Engineer required for an engineering company in Edinburgh. One of the largest product development companies in the area are looking for multiple Firmware Engineers across Senior and Principal level. They are a pioneer in their area and a global company with some of the worlds most recognised companies. You will be responsible for the design and development of firmware using hardware languages VHDL or System Verilog. You will be working closely with systems, hardware and software teams to provide the firmware solutions. You will be someone with experience creating VHDL-based designs, as well verifying the firmware designs and being responsible for revision control and progress reports. You will ideally have some of the following skills and experience: ** Creating firmware requirements and designs with VHDL or Verilog ** Verifying firmware designs ** Configuration management ** Tools such as HDL Designer, ModelSim, Questa, Precision etc. ** Understanding of hardware level requirements ** Hardware verification You will be based in their Edinburgh office, although some travel to their other sites may be necessary. The salary on offer is dependent on experience but the company can offer between £40,000 - £65,000. Due to the nature of the role and the clients the company works for you must be a UK citizen.
