Job Description

Meraki are delighted to be engaged by a global business in search of a First-Time Mover looking to make a move out of a Top 10 chartered accountancy firm into industry. The role will be based in Edinburgh with flexible/hybrid working paying a package of£47,000 - £51,000 + exceptional bonus potential & excellent pension contributions.The Opportunity The employer has been through a significant period of realignment, change and growth throughout the last few years. This has been led by the global pandemic, international expansion, and several highly impressive acquisitions.This means the business now has a more diversified market offering, therefore leading to more sustainable and secure growth. Moreover, due to the recent investment, they have deeper pockets to attack any lucrative growth opportunities, whether it be newlocations, different markets or building on current service lines.The business has a strong track record of hiring talented individuals making their first move out of practice into industry and they are hoping to continue in that vein with this hire. The successful individual will be joining a world class finance functionand will be involved in:

  • Interaction & business partnering including SMT & Board Interaction
  • Involvement in high value & profile international projects
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow analysis
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and annual audit including liaising with external Auditors
  • Balance sheet integrity and maintenance
  • Data and financial analysis
Typically, the business looks for a successful tenure of 18-24 months in the role, before encouraging and entertaining internal vertical and/or lateral moves such as FP&A, commercial finance, projects, etc..Moreover, this individual will have the optionto travel abroad and/or make the move indefinitely to other sites.The PersonThe successful individual will be working in a Top 10 accountancy firm in Scotland and will ideal have IFRS exposure.It is imperative that this individual is a qualified accountant (exam qualified is acceptable) and a Bachelor (Hon) degree would be preferred.You must be an ambitious individual who is able to communicate and building relationships with senior stakeholders.On OfferThe role of Financial Accountant is based in Edinburgh and offering the following package:
  • £47,000 - £51,000 package
  • Up to 25% bonus
