Job Description

Meraki Talent are engaged on an excellent permanent Finance Manager role based in Edinburgh (hybrid working) paying £47,000 - £52,000 plus bonus, excellent pension and fantastic benefits.The Opportunity This fantastic business has recently been restructured and received venture capital investment so it can expand significantly across both locally & internationally. This has also created a reshuffle in finance which has resulted in a redeveloped FinanceManager role to support the UK Financial Controller.The role will involved leading a highly talented transactional finance team whilst being hands with financial reporting, financial control, taxation and cash management. The UK Financial Controller is seeking an individual that is happy to continuously takeon additional duties, responsibilities and increase their exposure. The key role components include:

  • Reporting to and deputising for the UK Financial Controller
  • Leading the transactional finance team - AP, AR, Cash, Banking
  • Reviewing the developing processes, procedures, controls & systems
  • Liaising with external Advisers such as Auditors, Tax Advisers etc.
  • Ownership of financial reporting including assisting with preparation of statutory accounts & returns
  • Assisting with taxation and VAT returns
  • Cashflow analysis and cash management
Candidate ProfileTo be considered, you must be a qualified Accountant with strong financial accounting experience - ideally with IFRS exposure. Supervisory or people management exposure would be advantageous but not essential.This role would ideally suit a Financial Accountant already operating within industry and seeking a step up or an Auditor operating at Manager/Senior Manger level seeking their first in-house move.On OfferThe role of Finance Manager is based in Edinburgh with flexible and hybrid working fully operational. The ideal situation would be 2 days in the office per week, however the employer would also be happy to entertain applications for 1 days in the officeand 4 days from home.
