Job Description

REED Accountancy are Exclusively working with one of Scotlands Leading Private Schools, based in Edinburgh.They are looking for a Finance Administrator to join their teamon a permanent and full-time position with a hybrid working model.Main Duties:

  • Processing invoices from receipt to approval, ensuring that responses from budget holders are actioned
  • Check and reconcile suppliers statements. Liaise with suppliers on all queries regarding accounts.
  • Credit Control
  • Reviewing outstanding Purchase Orders
  • Contacting suppliers for invoices
  • Manage correspondence with parents to ensure that payments are kept up to date
  • Maintain up to date lists of billing items including annual charges & discounts
  • Ensure all fee accounts are appropriately updated for all restricted fees and financial assistance
  • Support the development of the new ERP systems
  • Liaise with colleagues in the Finance department on areas where work overlaps
  • Maintain detailed process notes on all key activities and provide coaching on purchase ledger activities
  • Any other duties as appropriate to the role and assigned by the Finance Manager or Bursar
The candidate:
  • Experience in a Finance related roleAP & AR
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Independent, self-motivated and organised
  • Adaptable to Accounting software & MS Excel
